Snow, snow go away, bring on the month of May!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m itching to get out on the golf course…soon!Don’t misunderstand me here. I work at the best resort in the Midwest - Giants Ridge. We’ve had a great winter sports season with more snow that we’ve had in several years, but I’m ready to hit the links now! C’mon spring!

Some of the best golf courses in the Midwest are found right here in northeastern Minnesota’s Iron Range. This season, I’ll be your Iron Range Golf Getaway Guide. We’ll showcase award-winning courses like The Legend and The Quarry at Giants Ridge and The Wilderness at Fortune Bay along with smaller public courses scattered throughout the Range – each provide a unique challenge to golfers.

Surrounded by the Superior National Forest and bordered by beautiful Minnesota lakes and rivers, and only three hours north of the Twin Cities, it’s no wonder why so many golfers make the Iron Range an overnight, weekend, or weeklong golf vacation destination.   Lodging and golf packages are available at many hotels and resorts in the region.

Whichever course you choose to play, one thing is certain - the Iron Range is A Great Way to Getaway and a hidden gem among greater Minnesota golf vacations. Be sure to check back as I highlight the golf courses in the region this season. Check out my facebook and MySpace pages, too!
